Happy 1st birthday Maximilian!
To think that one year ago today, we met you for the first time—you were sweet, curious, and bald. You were perfect because you were ours.
One year later, you’re growing into such an energetic and amazing little boy. You’re very sweet, you’re more curious than ever, and you’re still pretty bald.
Shortcut to Waffles
Today, we walked into town with the mission to find Belgian waffles. We’re happy to report that they live up to the hype. Max devoured an entire waffle by himself. It was a good day had by all. We are hoping that birthday waffles will become a family tradition.
When we got back to the apartment, we gave Max his birthday gift: an abacus. He liked it (but we think he liked the waffle more).
Celebrating in Florida
Happily, we also were able to celebrate Max’s 1st birthday in Florida before we left. Amanda made a cake, and family and friends joined us to sing happy birthday to Max.
